In addition to financial support from the Mill Valley Library Foundation, the Library also receives support from our partner library support organization, the Friends of the Mill Valley Library.

The Foundation and the Friends, though separate non-profits, are two robust and complementary organizations, both working to support the library’s financial needs. And the Foundation and the Friends support the same terrific library programs. Funds are raised by each organization in different ways:

The Foundation raises money through:

• An annual year-end fundraising Appeal

• Periodic fundraising social events

• Investment income from a growing endowment

• Legacy giving

The Friends raises money through:

• Monthly sales of donated books & media

• Online book sales

• Annual memberships

You may choose to support one or both organizations. However you choose to support the Library, we thank you! Please note that a donation to the Foundation is distinct from a Friends’ membership, with its associated annual fees.
